Vernacular translation

There are few neighbors living here leisurely, and the overgrown path leads to the barren garden.

The birds perched freely on the trees by the pool, and the monks were knocking on the mountain gate under the bright moonlight.

I walked across the bridge to see the fascinating scenery of the wilderness.

I leave here temporarily but will come back and live with my friends on the agreed date.

Appreciation

The poem is known as "Bird Staying by the Pool Tree, Monk Knocks at the Door". The whole poem just described such a trivial matter that the author visited his friend Li Ningwei.

In the first couplet, "Residential neighbors live together, and the grass path enters the deserted garden." The poet described the surrounding environment of this secluded residence in a very economical way: a weed-covered path leads to a deserted garden; nearby, there is no People live. With a touch of two strokes, he wrote a "you" character in a very general way, implying Li Ning's identity as a hermit.

"Birds stay at the poolside tree, the monk knocks at the door of the moon" is a well-known quotation. There is also such a story in the word "thinking": One day, Jia Dao was riding on a donkey, and he suddenly got the sentence "bird by the poolside tree, the monk knocking at the door next to the moon". The word "Knock" was drawn on the donkey's back for scrutiny, but he bumped into Jing Zhaoyin Hanyu's guard of honor, and was then taken to Han Yu. Jia Dao said that the poem had a sentence, but Han Yu didn't blame him. Instead, he thought for a long time and said to Jia Dao: "make a knock on the word". In this way, the two started to do it. Come friends. These two poems are a little puzzling at first glance. Of course, the poet refused to be able to see even the birds staying on the tree by the pool at night. In fact, this is exactly the misfortune that the poet conceived and the pains of his heart. Because the moonlight was bright and the sky was silent, so the monk (maybe the author) knocked on the door a little, which alarmed the bird, or caused a disturbing noise, or the bird flew from the nest After a circle, I lived in the nest again. The author seized this fleeting phenomenon to portray the quietness of the environment, the quietness in the sound, and the unexpected victory. If the word "push" is used, of course, there is no such artistic effect.

The Necklace "crossing the bridge is divided into wild colors, moving stones and moving clouds," is what I saw on the road to return. Crossing the bridge is a colorful field; the evening breeze is blowing, the cloud feet are drifting, and Foshan stone is moving. "Stone" does not "move", the poet said in a counterclaim, unique charm. All these are shrouded in a layer of white moonlight like silver, which shows the natural tranquility of the environment, beautiful and charming.

The last two sentences are: I leave for a while, and when I come back soon, I will live up to the date of coherence. The first three couplets are all narrative and portrayal. The last couplet points out the mood in the poet's heart and the main purpose of the poem. It is this elegant place with a leisurely content that arouses the author's longing for a secluded life.

In the poems, the grass path, the wild garden, the night bird, the pond tree, the wild color, and the cloud root are all common sights; all of them are unusual behaviors, such as leisurely living, knocking at the door, crossing the bridge, and temporarily leaving. However, poets tend to speak out of the realm of others. The language is simple, the words are natural, and the flavor is mellow.
